Manchester City left-back Benjamin Mendy has been charge with two more counts of rape. Six counts and one count of sexual assault.
Mendy, who is currently in prison. He is originally charge with four counts of rape. And one count of sexual assault for an offense involving four victims over the age of 16 between October 2020 and August 2021.
The BBC, the British media, recently reported that Two more rape charges were added to Mendy. After the France international left-back report to the Stockport District Court on Wednesday to hear the charges. And is schedule to appear in court again on a hearing date on January 24, 2022.
For the agency, Manchester City order the suspension of Mendy indefinitely. Or until the case is clear Since being arrested and charge by police for the first time on August 26. The 27-year-old left-back previously denied a bail request as he breached bail conditions. And is still in prison to this day.
He was refused bail last month and is currently on remand at HMP Altcourse in Liverpool.
The France international has played for last season’s Premier League champions Manchester City since 2017, when he joined from Monaco for a reported £52m.
He was suspended by the club after being charged by police, pending an investigation.
